Meet the Director

Carol Rose Adkisson, M.A. LMFT

Founder, CEO, and Clinical Director
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist MFC83484

Carol Rose Adkisson is licensed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Masters from Hope International University in 2008.  She has many years of experience providing individual, group, and family therapy in multiple settings. Additionally, she provides supervision to interns, teaches various classes, presents workshops on psychological-related issues, and has authored several books. This education, training, and experience has provided the foundation for her clinical work: deep understanding of the problem and underlying issues, accurate assessment/diagnosis, and effective treatment planning using evidence-based treatment practices, e.g. cognitive behavior therapy, solution-focused, Trauma-Focused CBT, EMDR and family systems therapy.  Her desire was to make a difference in the community, and thus The Trauma and Healing Foundation came to fruition.

Carol Rose Adkisson has an excellent reputation in the community and an extensive network for referral and collaboration with other professionals for psychiatric evaluations, psychological testing, drug treatment centers, therapists and community-based programs.  She specializes in many unique areas, including immigration psychological evaluations, hoarding, 12 Step Programs, ADHD, couples counseling and depression and anxiety based disorders.

Most importantly, due to her own personal experiences of past trauma, extreme adversities, and life transformation phases, Carol Rose Adkisson can relate to her client’s pain and suffering while providing the support and guidance they need to improve or overcome their distressing situations.
